Mr. Anjani Misra boasts an exceptional career spanning 26 years at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), where he held the office of General Manager for more than a decade. During this significant tenure, he undertook a diverse array of functions and responsibilities that significantly contributed to the bank’s objectives and initiatives. His expertise prominently included Rural Planning and Credit, where he played a pivotal role in advancing financial inclusion efforts to empower underbanked communities nationwide.

Mr. Anjani Misra effectively represented the RBI’s interests in various committee meetings and general assemblies, ensuring that the bank’s perspectives and strategic goals were articulated and considered. He took the initiative to organise extensive training programs to enhance staff proficiency in vigilance, fortifying the institution’s commitment to integrity and compliance.

In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Anjani Misra oversaw the Department of Supervision, where he was instrumental in monitoring and evaluating the performance of financial institutions to ensure their adherence to regulatory standards. His role as a compounding authority under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA), further underscores his deep involvement in maintaining the integrity of forex regulations, as he managed contraventions and took necessary enforcement actions when required.
